On Wednesday, Jun 7th, we marked our 10 Year Anniversary with a gathering at our store. We invited all our friends, family & customers to come celebrate, and served bubbles & bites to all who came.
It’s no small feat to be a small, family-owned business in New York City, and especially in a neighborhood like Williamsburg where real estate & retail have been booming. We’ve lost many lovely, small stores to the larger chains which continue to dominate throughout the city & the country. We are very fortunate to still be here, and to be thriving. So hats off to all of you who’ve made this possible.
We want to thank everyone who came out to help us celebrate and made the party such a success. We had so much fun with friends, both old and new. Thank you to our entire staff who came as guests but helped out in all sorts of ways, as they always do, creating a place that is so welcoming to everyone. A special thanks to Eva for taking care of business while we were all enjoying ourselves, and to Sabine for working a very long day to make the store extra beautiful, smiling all the way through the 11th hour.
You all (customers, staff, friends & family) are our reason, but you are also our reward. We’ve worked tirelessly at building a business that puts people & community first, reflecting what we wish to see more of in the world: Businesses with backbone & integrity, that look to make and leave the world better than we found it. Our store is a space where you are always welcome, where we gather to support, encourage and love one another, whether old friends or strangers.
